Shiminly Curriculum is inspired by and aligned with official educational standards from around the world.
We implemented methodology and philosophy from experts at the WEF, UNESCO, and Harvard University to form our future-minded curriculum. Shiminly lessons and assessments are aligned with official educational standards around the world including American Common Core, the National Curriculum in England, the Australian National Curriculum, the Singapore National Curriculum, and the Japanese National Curriculum. Our special learning plans were developed by a team of international educators with more than 50 years of collective experience designing instructional materials for all ages.
The 7 Competencies
Spanning the written, visual, and performing arts, Creative Exploration classes seek to inspire and instill appreciation for the arts in all students.
To truly be a global citizen, one must understand others. Expedition Humanity explores our past, our present, and what they mean for the future of our species.
Sustainability and the Environment
Climate change and its environmental impact will challenge Shiminly students throughout their lives. In addition to the historical, social, and scientific factors related to the environment, student will learn tips and tricks for developing an eco-friendly lifestyle—for now and in the future.
In order to know the world, students need to start by knowing themselves. Our Self-Intelligence unit helps guide learners to develop a high degree of self-understanding and a good level of confidence.
The 21st-century Toolkit is Shiminly’s guide to living one’s best 21st-century life! From applying for jobs to making a weekly meal plan, these lessons help students develop the basic skills and know-how necessary for them to live a successful, independent life—no matter where in the world they might find themselves.
Science and Technology
Addressing STEM topics and computer skills like coding, these lessons are designed to familiarize students with scientific methodology and tech-based enterprise. More than that, though, our Science and Technology lessons show kids the wonder and joy of science!
Language and Literacy
Self-expression is a huge part of the growing-up process, and we seek to ensure Shiminly students can fully express themselves. While reinforcing fundamental literacy skills, Shiminly students have the chance to use their creativity, learn more about the world, and bring their ideas to life!

Our uniquely designed lessons which are tailored for Grades 1 to 12 are taught using real-life examples and practical applications. Dive into a Grade 6 lesson that the issue of cyberbullying as a tool to teach and develop the skills of social responsibility and basic digital literacy.
